The 2014 Euclid Napa Valley Cabernet is our 6th Vintage from the Clark Claudon Vineyard on the Northeastern side of Howell Mountain at 800 to 1000 ft elevation. The longer we work with this vineyard the better we understand it's wonderful attributes and how best to capture them. Our primary goal is a wine with a rich, creamy mouthwatering texture.
The wine has a seductive aroma of chocolate-covered cherries on the entry with notes of pomegranate, ginger spice, and fresh flowers. This wine has a great richness from start to finish with a wonderful balance and silky texture. There are flavors of dark chocolate cherries, vanilla, and a long, fresh orange zest finish that reminds me of dark chocolate orange sticks. This is a wine that is hard to put down.
Aged in 60 % New French Oak and 40% once used French Oak for 24 months and in bottle for 16 months.
